报告人简介:

Professor Vivian W. Y. Tam is the Associate Dean (International) at School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics, Western Sydney University, Australia. She was nominated to the College of Expert, Australian Research Council (ARC), Australian Government. She received her Ph.D. in sustainable construction from the Department of Building and Construction at City University of Hong Kong in 2005. Her research interests are in the areas of environmental management in construction and sustainable development. She is currently the Editor of Construction and Building Materials and International Journal of Construction Management. She has published over 3 books, 21 book chapters, 248 referred journal articles and 151 referred conference articles. She has been awarded forty-one research grants (totalled over $8 million), including two ARC Discovery Projects, one ARC Linkage Project and an ARC Research Hub.

报告简介:

Environmental problems have been considered as a serious situation in the construction.Waste management is pressing harder with the alarming signal warming in the industry.Reuse, recycling and reduce the waste consider as the only methods to recover those waste generated; however, the implementations still have much room for improvement.In order to overcome serious climate change, deep reduction in co2 emission will be required in coming decades. Co2 absorption is one of the key technologies to control the global warming. Global warming is caused by sharply increased greenhouse gases emission by human activities. In building, industry co2 emission mainly comes from cement production. In the experimental study, a feasibility study is made to use zeolite as an admixture to an already replaced Cement with (Portland Pozzolana Cement) in Concrete, and an attempt has been made to investigate the strength parameters of concrete (Compressive strength). For control concrete, IS method of M30 is adopted and considering this a basis, mix design for replacement method has been made. Three different replacement levels namely 10%,20% and 30% are chosen for study concern to replacement.
